The sooner you notice the signs of stroke and call 911, the better the chance of recovery. Take a minute to learn how to act F.A.S.T. It's an easy way to remember the signs of stroke.

Ask the person to smile.
Look to see if it's uneven.
Ask the person to raise both arms.
Check if one arm is weak.
Ask the person to speak.
Listen for slurring.
Call 911 at the first sign of stroke.
